Project Brief

Pandemic Professor is a non-profit organization that was founded during the COVID-19 pandemic to provide students with academic support outside the virtual classroom. Through an online platform, students are able to receive free one on one tutoring and mentorship to strengthen their subject comprehension skills and to increase their academic confidence.

The Goal

Redesign the “Donate” page which reflects the usability testing feedback.

Design Strategy

• Understand the pain points from the usability testing.

• Determine solutions to the usability problems.

• Design high fidelity mock-ups for the next round of usability testing which will allow Pandemic Professors to collect new data.

Usability Testing

The UX team interviewed seven participants from ages 20 to 53 who don’t have children and have also donated to nonprofits in the past. Below are some key findings from the usability testing:

Participants felt that the purpose of the “Donate” page was to allow them to make donations. They disliked the excess information about the use of their donations when navigating that page.
